‘Brothers’ becomes second highest weekend grosser of 2015
‘Brothers’, based on Hollywood film ‘Warriors’, has become the second highest weekend grosser of 2015, behind the Salman Khan-starrer ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’. Produced by Dharma Productions, Lionsgate Films and Endemol India and directed by karan Malhotra, the action genre movie has pocketed Rs 52.08 crore (Rs 520.8 million) in the first three days. In the debut weekend collection, ‘Brothers’ has done better than movies like ‘ABCD2’, ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’, ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ and ‘Gabbar Is Back’. ‘Brothers’ falls behind only ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, which had crossed Rs 100 crore (Rs 1 billion) mark in the opening weekend itself.
