The BSNL, Visakhapatnam district, is embarking on a 20-day campaign from August 13 to reconnect with old customers who have gone out of its fixed-line network due to non-payment of dues.
Assuring the customers of providing the most reliable telecom service in the region, the PSU is willing to give them an option of clearing accumulated dues in instalments to get back into the network.
Apart from getting the landline reactivated, the customer will get a CellOne connection (Bandham) free with a bonus of 30 minutes free talktime everyday between the two numbers.
The customers whose dues are less than Rs. 3,000 can clear them in five instalments and those whose bills are more than Rs. 3,000 can repay in 10 instalments.
The campaign would begin on Monday and the customers can walk into any of the Customer Service Centre (CSCs) of the BSNL to get reconnected and get the Bandham connection free.
“Teams of staff and officers will be visiting neighbourhoods and encouraging the old customers to revive their connections,” Senior GM P. Nagaraju said. All through the campaign period, the customers can visit any of the CSCs and avail themselves of the opportunity, he added.
From Tuesday, the BSNL teams would be conducting roadshows in different areas in the city and suburbs and other parts of the district to encourage the old customers to clear their dues and revive their connections.
From Thursday, the teams would spread out and cover different parts of the district, apart from one or two neighbourhoods in the city and suburbs.
Wrapping up on September 1, the reconnection campaign would be taken up at Daba Gardens, Seethammadhara, Gopalapatnam, and Gajuwaka CSCs and at the Asilmetta Teleshoppe.
