Hello.
I am already a longtime Tata Sky user and am currently in the market for a new satellite connection for our second television. For me, HD quality and the ability to pause, rewind and record live television is non-negotiable.
Because adding a second connection would only mean an added expense of ₹230 per month, Tata Sky is most likely the best option for us, but I am cringing at the thought of shelling out ₹8,900 for a new Transfer box, particularly because the Android app is a complete mess that destroys your phone’s battery life. I don’t think I’m going to install it on my phone even if I want to, though I will install it on my iPad.
Given the crappiness of the mobile app, is it worth it to spend that much money on this box, most of which is for the features enabled by the app? If not, is there any way I can still buy the older, non-Transfer HD DVR?
I’d appreciate your words of wisdom. Thank you.
