The Cabinet has approved Strengthening Teaching-Learning and Results for States (STARS) project under New Education Policy. "In order to achieve fundamental literacy...we have to improve board exams. There will be a separate assessment institution that'll come in force," Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said. It'll cover Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala and Odisha.
