Discussion Can we switch set tob boxes from one room to another easily?

I ve multi room dth connection and i was wondering if i can simply interchange the set top boxes from one room to another?

I want to do this because i ve recording available on DTH 001 connection and it is usefull for the other members of my family in other room, so i was thinking i i could just take ttheir stb and put mine there? Both dth are in same dth provider and are under multi room single dish arrangement.

Check with the customer care of the respective DTH operator, they can guide you on this.

I don't think there will be any problem. Since box is registered as primary, secondary has nothing to do when receives signals but check once as well with DTHs.

Thanks will do that, i asked here first because usually customer care executives trick people in paying for extra visit charges to handle a simple procedure or plainly shut the request citing it can't be done.

Yes you can.... even i hav a dvr and a normal box.... i did this many time....

of course you can, you can even carry it to another city and connect any of the wire which belongs to your operator. Everything will work till you do not disrupt the smart card pairing by swapping cards.

Thanks guys. I switched the boxes and it worked fine on both connections.
