Update Cancellation charges of train ticket doubled from Nov 11, 2015

Scheme named is Vikalp as pilot project its valid on some Mail train and other train towards Delhi, Jammu.

If you wants to travel in tomorrow morning and for some reason you can't so can opt for any alternate train within 12 hours of schedule departure.

Similar to open ticket and they will add some clause to it after some time like date change fee

Clause that within 12 hours you have to travel as per Vikalp.

What if the next train is only after 24 hours in case of daily trains

Actually this is a good idea.

Railway should allow to prepone or postpone booked tickets as per the availability.

They will work on that but I liked the concept very much sometime we have to cancel ticket to travel for another time within 24 hrs in that case this is good.
