cc have know only that ts is moving to Mpeg 4 but they don't know which box r Mpeg 4 or which is mpeg2, if u tell them i hv sd box then they r telling u need tobe change to view mpeg4 channels.

they will get record list very shortly on his portal(for cc purpose only) & offer also, we have to wait this week or maybe 15th of this month to get clear picture. ;)

yesterday Talked To CC for checking How many boxes i have MPEG2, CC person was saying, u have all 4 boxes those all r MPEG4(but three r mpeg4), when i told to old box is made 2006 so he is telling ohh so it is MPEG2, So that means cc have no record to check whether it is MPEG2 Or MPEG4 but knows ts moving to MPEG4. :woot:

Experts, Considering Insat4a was launched in 2005 and its already completed 9 years in orbit, while undergoing technology change will it impact the satellite life or any other technicalities? (Just curious to know)

i m not an expert only one Mr Expert is present in the world,:D but knows something about,

no, as i know, Mpeg 2/mpeg4 r the compression technique & dvb/dvbs2 r the modulation, satellite transmits same power for mpeg 2 or mpeg4,in short no effect on power or life.

for proff: u hv read any where that if satellite will use dvb then sat life is this..

if satellite will use dvbs2 then sat life is this...

the life of the sat predecided before launch of sat,its all depends on what type of solar panel, batteries & jets & trusters.

if the sat moves like 83 to 56 then sat life Willie reduce otherwise no or if any problem in power section of sat then its also cause to reduce life.

correct me if i am wrong.
