Ace Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan is busy with the current project titled 'Chennai Express'. It is a commercial romantic story. The story is about the journey of a man from Mumbai - Rameswaram and the happenings in between.
Deepika Padukone plays the female lead. Kollywood actors Manorama and Sathyaraj are playing the key roles. Aachi is making comeback in 2013. She is also in part of Surya's Singam 2. In Chennai Express, she plays the role of Deepika's Aunty. Sathyaraj turns villan again after years and he plays Deepika's father. Delhi Ganesh is also doing a small role in this movie.
Directed by Rohit Shetty. Produced under SRK's home banner : 'Red Chillies Entertainment' by Gauri Khan. Music is scored by the duo : Vishal - Sekhar.
SRK's well known screen pair beauties : Kajol, Anushka Sharma, Rani Mukharjee are playing the cameo roles.
The bilingual (Tamil - Hindi) is distributed by UTV Motion Pictures. The audio, satellite and distribution rights were sold for Rs. 105 Crores. Music rights are with T-Series.

Salman Khan has ruled the box office for the past few years with big releases on Eid. But things are all set to change this year.
According to reports, Salman's arch-rival Shah Rukh Khan's Chennai Express directed by Rohit Shetty will release on Eid this year.
Reports further suggest that the Dabangg actor, who has been busy with CCL and other professional commitments, may not be able to complete the movie before the festival season.
