So Mayor is directly elected by public......Good for stability.......

I thought its like in Maharashtra where elected corporaters select Mayor by majority.......just like state assembly or Lok Sabha....some times it becomes a mess & then poaching.....
Actually it used to be like direct election but its changed later........
Direct election system is better for everyone..........& for stability.........

I don't know the rule. And this also the first time I voted and my Area voted for Member of Council and Mayor before we used to had "Panchayati Raj".
