So basically Viacom18 managed the stay with the help from politician cum lawyers like Abhishek Manu Singhvi.
So even if they couldn't satisfy SC judges till 8th Dec, they managed to split the total 10 days ban into 3 different periods.

The day HC judgement came, Viacom appealed for interim stay it in Supreme court but court declined to hear the case on priority and asked them to come back when their number comes as per case number and luckily they got it too early.

So instead of going off-air for consecutive 10 days, Viacom18 managed to split it into 3 windows.
It would be face-saver to the Comedy Central channel. Otherwise consecutive 10 days stay would have affected brand image adversly.
Also Rs 20000 fine is like peanuts to Viacom18. Even their ad slot price would be larger.....
