How this is going to impact us. Will it really be in our favour ?

Nope. Fall in crude oil price will have cascading effect on deficit budget by increase in excise duty. So when prices go up government may either increase the price or reduce the excise duty as offset. This will only ease the pressure for oil companies due to subsidy.
