Currently many indian telecom, broadband and dth communication company facing major issue of minimum satellite bandwidth. With increasing population and development india need double of its capacity in satellite fleet. Department of Space asks Antrix to seek satellite capacity for BSNL - The Economic Times on Mobile from the above article its very clear how india is going in satellite era! Now my main point is to clear tata sky's stand on extra capacity. *I had told that ts is not going to use gsat 10 for reason of price dispute. From 2012 there is lease price increase of 60%. So very. So in article itself explaining why ts not using gsat 10? If state own BSNL facing issue to gain allocation then we can think what will be problem for private firm.

some changes needed in the current method of allocating the satellites and foreign players be allowed under open sky policies to tackle the crunch.
