Update D2H DVR GUI Changed - New Software Installed

Dear All,
Today technician from D2H visited my home and installed a new software. The GUI of DVR is completely changed now. I am yet to explore things. Booting slowness is still there. He installed this using USB option.

yours is old 5oo gb or new 1 TB DVR?

Mine is 1TB...actually as I posted last time it was given to me as replacement due to issues in my 500gb dvr...but I guess both have same GUI...

Even i got the call for my 160 GB HD DVR software updation and its going to be updated tomorrow.

So, finally d2h seems to have decided to update each and every boxes in market with same software now.

This is the 1st time my 160 GB HD DVR will be updated with any new software since purchase.

after we discussed that old DVR would never be updated with current software which lead to the awaking of d2h to do the same.

Yeah. It was surprise for me. I confirmed thrice with the caller and he confimed yes its for 160 GB DVR.

But why it needs a tech visit to update.....? They cann't push the update via sat.....?

some STBs cant be upgraded OTA hence the technician visit.
