HELP D2H - Initial thoughts, issues and some HD snaps.

Hi guys,

Thanks for helping me to choose my first DTH (D2H). I'm sharing my first impression. (Do not take it as review. Situation is different for me). The latest D2H STBs not available here so I had to buy the 2222 model.

I'm satisfied with picture quality. SD channel quality is impressive. Also RF remote is useful thing.

Well, I'm having some issues. No official support here. And D2H is not so popular here. So struggling to figure out how to solve.

1. STB hangs after selecting some HD channels. Need to turn off and on to see the channels again. Well this problem is gone from last night.

2. Some channels missing sound.

3. The software download is 11. Old version I think. I tried install download 22 (Downloaded from this forum). But failed to install. I extracted the folder in pendrive. Pressed reset button for 15-20 sec. STB restarted and pop up box came to select pen drive as recording device or cancel. After canceling this popup box. Home screen appears. Any working solution to update software please? :(

Experts here please help me. :)

Give some time to change the channels so it doesn't hang frequently.
2 missing sound in TV or Home theatre when DD sound is selected?

1. I didn't change channels quickly. It was STB just hang when I selected HD channel. But History HD and TravelXP HD worked fine that time. Now all channels working.

2. I don't have home theatre. My tv (Sony W700C) has DD sound. SS HD 1, 2, 3, 4, Discovery HD, NGC HD and maximum HD channels has sound. TravelXP HD missing sound. History HD missing english feed and bangla feed working fine. Al jazeera, BBC and some other SD channels also missig sound.

I found this video he faced almost identical problem and solved with software update.

Technoglitch bro. I have selected DD sound option in some HD channels. And it's working. Not missing the sound completely. Some SD channels missing the sound completely.

sachin bro. Failed to update manually.

y dd sound won't work in hdmi.

i selected dd + n dd sound in my adtv hd+ stb but volume was mute. i initially thought might b my tv is not capable of this.
