My STB Videocon d2h stb HD-6666RF with my customer ID is not compatible with Bluetooth dongle
But works with videocon additionally supplied IR Universal remote, the original RF remote battery discharges in a week time, further Android Apps Anymote and IR Plus are able to control through phone Redmi 3S which hàs IR blaster but Videocon's own IR Android app was not able to control above STB. probably as the IR receiver is inside stb cover the range is 1 to 2 meters only.

So d2h remote has its own limits.
