Yes from CRT the pictures will not be good .. U can adjust Brightness.Contrast to maximum .. if the picture is good then use that setting itself ..

Focus -Auto
MP- 5 mp (4:3)
Flash - off
If the screen is too bright or dark control/decrease exposure from the settings respectively.

geekvishal I think u r using LED/LCD TV..
Samsung Camera is good .. the differance is only from CRT.. even in Digital Camera we r not getting good pictures from CRT
