DD to beam 600 FTA channels using new technology

- It will use antenna, not dish.
- It will use pen drive type of thing, not STB.
- Beaming of channels will be done through transmitters, not any satellite.
- All channels will be free.
- Cud be watched on mobile as well.
- This will implement in March

- But will DD be able to deliver on its promise, remains to be seen... they only make promises, never fulfil them.

next thing DD will announce is they will add 50 HD.....
10 premiere HD...
all exclusive only for DD
they will deliver DTS sound but not only 5.1..it will be 7.1 DTS master quality
also there will be 5 HD 3d channel.....
and this services will all be fre...u just have to buy a 3000 antenna..thats all.....all free

it is a joke...nothing will be added....but last month I do read a news paper report that told,,DD will add some HD channel...all DD hd channel...mean DD national hd,,DD sports HD..DD bharati HD....but dont know it is even possible or not

I Think it will come atleast 100 channels. U know Till today there r many many DD Transmitters which have signals in VHF and UHF for providing DD Channels. To recieve this users has to install VHF ,UHF antennas with a small device called "BOOSTER" acts like LNB fitted in the Antenna and cable goes to another device which is for power supply [i forgot the name] acts like STB . After the introduction of DTH many started to use them and those Aluminium antennas were no use .
now DD is trying the same with new technology.

But 600 Channels I guess would be news and bhakti channels and all crap channels. Where from they would be funding money to run all good channels
