News DD to launch national channel for kids

Doordarshan is preparing plans to launch a channel exclusively for children, Union minister of state for information and broadcasting Col. (retd) Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore said here on Thursday.

"We are concerned about the future and welfare of our children. There is no national channel forkids as of now and Doordarshan will launch such a channel," Rathore said, while interacting with journalists as part of the central government's outreach on completion of one year of the Narendra Modi government.
