There are different aspects of the story................
Banning the docu film is just the culmination of all what happened..........So one can argue whether film should be banned or not.....................

Now the main question is the way in which docu film was produced...........I think as per available news stories, the docu film was produced by Leslee Udwin with the help from few Indian reporters linked to NDTV.
Later Leslee Udwin sold the film to BBC for monetary gains.

All this was done by blatantly telling lies, duping the authorities, breaking the promises made & selling the film to third party for money.

In all this atleast Leslee Udwin, NDTV agents & BBC are party..............As all this was done in illegal manner, all these should be punished as per Indian law.............atleast Leslee Udwin. & NDTV....................

Now its upto one whether to respect & agree with Indian law or not.........................

Why we need to question this ? Wasn't this a highlighting incident in Indian Social Stigma ?

Is this the 1st time BBC or HBO has made such documentary. If so then you guys should doubt on all documentaries made so far by them.

Bro...........I am not questioning why the film was produced...............but HOW the film was produced.........That means the unlawful & deceit ways used by producers for this..................

BBC or HBO is a different thing.............Thats way I said - its upto one whether to respect & agree with Indian law or not.........................

They didn't entered the jail premises forcefully bro. They were granted permission. So, it's govt who is responsible. Not BBC

There was a context paper which is out by Times Now and no one talking about it except Arnab Goswami sometimes I feel Arnab is becoming point of embarrassment of Times Now who captured all the limelight and turned it to other ways.

Talking about that context paper its clearly stated that movie won't be air till next 9 months of its shoot ? Now question arise why this condition has been made to permit Udwin to take interview of that Culprit ? Who made that condition ? Whats the reason of that condition ?

I am not just talking about entering jail premises..................for this UPA govt is responsible...........but thats again is a different story.......................

I am talking about overall ways in which all this docu film was produced....................for which producers lied & duped different authorities..........................

So do you believe or accept this illegal way of producing film..........?
Does any sovereign country would have accepted this.........?

Pls highlight on this part. Who and how they duped and lied.
The producers of docu film were required to take approval from the Jail authorities before telecast but they did not do so instead they showed edited film to them.
The name of the victim was made public which is blatant violation of law / rules / regulations.......Even UPA HM Shinde had to apologize to Parliament for this.
Also the authorities given permission only for film production as a social cause & not for monetary gains. Producers sold the film to BBC for making money.

In all this producers lied to the govt authorities for which they deserve legal action...........

Six reasons why the provocative Nirbhaya Documentary film should be banned................Veeresh Malik

Nirbhaya-Documentary0402015.jpg

Why would somebody spend crores on making a movie defiling the memory of a dead person, to make her killers and rapists look like studs and stars?

Over the last few days, I have been amongst the most vociferous on social media, objecting to the public airing in India of the Nirbhaya documentary made by my ex-colleague from NDTV, Dibang, and his co-Producer, Leslee Udwin from the UK. Why am I, otherwise an absolute votary of free speech, against this documentary?
............................

Why would somebody spend crores on making a movie defiling the memory of a dead person, to make her killers and rapists look like studs and stars, is the question I hope to answer in a few days as more details of the money trail come in. For now, fact remains, large amounts have reportedly been spent in cash.
