Delhi Police on Monday detained one person after a man was allegedly beaten to death in a suspected case of road rage. The victim identified as Shahnawaz was beaten up by a group of people on Sunday after his motorcycle collided with a car in Turkman gate area of Old Delhi.
Shahnawaz's family blocked traffic demanding police action and immediate arrest of the accused. The victim's mother said, "I don't know why he was beaten. He was not a violent person."
The victim's son and an eye-witness said, "The police did not help him. They stood-by as he was beaten."
