Hey Guys This is Akshay from Dombivali West, I have been using Den Digital for 3 years and HD setup box around 1.5 years. I read all latest news/post related to Den on this dthforum site but i have not seen any review on Den HD, So i want to share my Review on Den HD Setup Box and their services.
Pros of Den Digital HD:
1. Best Picture/Sound Quality : I have seen Tatasky HD and Airtel HD picture quality at my friends home and i feel Den has little bit better pics quality than DTH but more or less similar to other Digital cables like hathway, In digital.
The Picture Quality of digital cable is totally depends upon the connection, wires quality etc.
2. Good and Simple User Interface(UI) : The Interface of Den is quite simple and clean, good color combination for UI.
3. More Channels: Den Provides 300+ SD channels Plus Local Channels so we can watch local festivals and functions on television with excellent picture quality and we can advertise on these local channels at low cost. They add new SD Channels very quickly.
4. Good Customer Support: Our Local cable operator(LCO) provide quick n fast service without any charges but its depends upon behavior of LCO, some people say their LCO sucks but mine is not that bad
5. Universal Remote control : The build quality of remote is pretty good i would say. Bcos it is univarsal there are four buttons at top of remote so we can use these buttons for powering on/off TV, Volume rockers and TV source. Dedicated HD button for hd channels which is very handy to watch hd channels.
6. Low monthly cost : Den provides so many channels at affordable cost. I pay 300 per month for all SD channels and 2400 rs annual HD access fee means 500 rs per month.
Cons :
1. Less HD channels : Den provides around 45 HD channels which is low as compare to other Digital Cables and DTH. Hathway provides 52 and In Digital provides 58 in our area.
2. Poor HD Channels addition : They add single HD channel after 2-3 months latter which sucks. So many hd channels yet to add. Every day i check for new HD channel but i don't see any channel added. now days they are removing some HD channels instead of adding, Yesterday they removed Movies now , Movies Now+(MN+), Romady Now n in last week they removed Animal planet , TLC and replaced discovery hd with sony bbc earth. I m not able to understand what is happening with Den.
3. Dolby Digital sound: Not all hd channels have DD sound, Only 8 HD channels have DD sound.
4. Bad Customer support from MSO End: I have sent so many emails regarding HD channels addition to the Nodle Officers of Den satellite Powai. but they did not reply me at all.
5. No Interactive Features : Den do not provides any interactive features like other DTH have.
Thats all about Den HD setup box.
