Star DEN is a JV between Star and DEN to distribute Star channels across the country. Its like Zee Turner and SPN.

Some years back Star DEN and Zee Turner had joined hands and formed a company named Media pro JV to distribute all star and zee channels across the country.

But in 2014 after TRAI new regulations both companies discontinued this company.

So now DEN is selling its share in Star DEN to Star India. So Star now becomes the sole owner of the venture.

that's it. Its got nothing to do with DEN Digital cable tv services and Den broadband.

You wants to say that STAR who gave DEN a responsibility to deal for a channel taken back that responsibility by paying money to DEN ??

If DEN Cable & Broadband is now the seperate entity then who's the owner of DEN & Delhi Dynamo team of ISL ??

DEN is DEN and will remain DEN. DEN just sold its share to Star which it had in the channel distributing company named STAR DEN.
Star had 50% and DEN had 50% in JV Star Den. Now Den sold its 50% share in channel distribution company Star Den to Star India. So now Star India owns 100% ownership of that company. This has nothing to do with cable business and broadband.

Star has no share in DEN Digital cable and broadband or ISL franchisee. All these are owned by DEN.

Star DEN was started by Star and later on DEN joined that joint venture so distribute channels from broadcaster to DTH, Cable operators. Now DEN exited the JV so Star India will themselves distribute the channels.

Why DEN joined the JV with STAR does they have channel to distribute ??

Star DEN distributed Star channels. What else can they distribute ??? DEN joined so that they can get profits.

Why do anyone start business ?? to earn income.
