He was U-19 India captain when India won U-19 World Cup. And also, he is leading RCB in IPL, so he has some experience in leading the side.

He will learn over a period of time on how to handle the team.

Its a great decision by Dhoni and he should quit One Day, T20 after World Cup better he concentrate on BCCI leagues and can lead Shrini's team.

No he is good captain in ODI and T20 so he must not quit those but continue to play for the next 3 years
