The government has made it mandatory for telecom companies to ensure unrestricted access to a grievance redressal helpline for subscribers in view of increasing complaints. Both mobile and land line telephone subscribers will soon get access to a special tollfree number 1037 on which they can lodge complaints concerning overbilling and poor service.
