Plus i have used Hathway and its quality is bad, channels r pixallated and sound is uneven for all channels. DTH is a lot better and will gradually improve

The reason of DTH being expensive is double taxation from both state government and central government.
State government charges Entertainment tax and Central government charges Service tax. Which is a very big burden for DTH industry and should be soon eradicated, since we have Modi in the centre now.

Digital cable is good but incase of power failure at the control room then the broadcasting is interrupted and also you would get many unwanted local channels.

cheap or costly, it is our hard earned money but the pathetic service from those cablewalas are the main concern. The reason i moved to DTH is because my analog cable had the worst clarity with loads of local channels pushing other channels in the UHF band which made me quite irritant. Those cablewalas would come only on the day of collection else we forget their faces.

Yes and because of this I too moved to dth but missing some important channels which are on digital cable network
