Discussion Digital Cable TV Vs DTH

With unparallel distribution between DTH and Digital Cable industry it has got to happen. While Digital Cable users enjoy all the SD channels of Diamond or Platinum packs in just Rs.220-230 p.m. DTH operators charge Rs.400+ for it.

Don't compare Digital Cable and DTH both are having different concepts and running opposite to each other.

What could be the special concept of a DTH that it makes it, not a slightly expensive but the double ?

Here the difference mainly with bandwidth. Digital cable has ample of space where as DTH has none

Might be in SD channels but not in HD. HD pq same as DTH

^^ I agree with both of you.
But still, it should be somewhat comparable in term of channel offerings. DTH completely stands out with no sports and English channels in lowest base pack.

Is there really much difference between digital cable and DTH in terms pic quality? I have never experienced digital cable as it is yet to be available throughout Goa. I am just curious to know the exact difference.

In my area i found SD PQ of IN cable net better than d2h (Specially Sharpness)...

Heavy Taxation on DTH Industry,

Bandwidth problem as DTH has to acquire TPs from Satellite,

Using Advance technology to run DTH,

In Cable Terms and Conditions are different according to area these rules made by Govt. itself but in DTH all customers are same.

MSOs are run franchise basis, if Hathway Cable not running in my area then user not going to call Bharat Shah s office will call cable wala hence DTH have to establish there own Call Centre or atleast have to pay on contact basis.

Also not enough support by Broadcasters on carriage fee basis but in MSO you have to pay a minimal account and have to supplies decoder only.

^^ Even after local cable wala, middle man, Digital Cable remains cheaper.
