Article Digitalized ? Format Mpeg 2 change?

hi guy if digitalized all channel in India will change from Mpeg 2 to mpeg 4?
any one pls comment on this.

Presently Cable system is in Analog and now it will be digitalized. I dont know more on this. Experts may give correct info.

Well earlier the signals were comming directly to your TV but now they would be routed through a STB. There will many advantages are channels available for the subscriber would be more with more interactive services. We would have more packages to choose from and the PQ of the channels would be increased. Similar to having analogue channels earlier slowly converted to digital beams to give us more clear and crisp pictures

Post Digitization, All Analog Signals will change to Digital. So, Quality of Picture and Sound will be enhanced tremendously .

Another Major Advantage is increase in Channel Numbers. Analog Signals have a limit of 100-200 channels but once digitized, one can get upto 500 Channels and Services.

A simple example of it can be Radio Services. Earlier we used to have AM Radio Channels and now we have FM channels whose Quality is much superior than AM Channels.
