Humayun’s Tomb has stood through the great turning points in India’s history. Built over four centuries ago, this architectural masterpiece has served as a template for the Taj Mahal. There have been many theories behind the building of this colossal structure – ‘a symbol of queen’s love for her king’, ‘a son’s memorial to his father’, and ‘an ambitious emperor’s statement of the empire.’ Now infotainment broadcaster Discovery Channel will air ‘Revealed: Humayun’s Tomb’ on 27 July at 9 pm. Discovery HD World will also air the show.
