Dish TV India, Asia’s largest DTH operator has launched recharge option through Interbank Mobile Payment Service (IMPS).
The recharge launched is an initiative through National payment corporations of India (NPCI) which is an umbrella organization for retail payments in India and was incorporated by untiring efforts of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and Indian Banks Association (IBA).
Through this initiative, Dish TV will provide its 13.5 million subscribers a convenient option to make payment and recharge their account anywhere, anytime 24*7.
Presently customers can utilize the IMPS service through four platforms – Mobile Applications and very soon will be on Short Message Service (SMS), Dish TV website and Interactive voice response (IVR). All, the customer has to do, is feed in the required information in any of the four platform and the recharge amount will be added to their existing account instantly.
IMPS, is India’s first instant, real time, 24*7 fund transfer facility which will help our customers to recharge their account within a span of few seconds available through easy platform. IMPS is an initiative by Dish TV in offering customers more delight, convenience and power to enjoy uninterrupted entertainment by simple recharge through SMS or IVR or by downloading Mobile Application on your mobile.
Dish TV has associated with YES Bank to provide IMPS payment option. Any Dish TV subscriber with an account with any bank that supports IMPS merchant payments, can utilize the service.
To use the service, Dish TV customers need to visit the Merchant Interbank Mobile Payment Service (IMPS) section on their Bank’s Mobile Banking application or website/IVR,, and enter following details — Merchant Mobile: 1111222222, Merchant MMID: 9532532, the requisite amount, Payment Reference: (11-digit VC no.of their connection) and MPIN. The company claims that the recharged amount will be transferred to the customer account within a span of 15-20 seconds.
