CNBC TV 18 has reported that Dish TV may be negotiating a deal with Videocon DTH to buy its D2H.
In its latest document released to its investor, Videocon claims to have a subscriber base of 11.86 million as of March 2016 with a distribution strength of 2,30,000 retailers.
CNBC further reports that Videocon is demanding a higher price than the asked price by Dish, and is said to have a valuation of close to $1 Billion.
Videocon owes a net debt of Rs.1600 Crores and reported a net loss at Rs.92.2 Crore in FY16.
Although Videocon has denied any reports of selling, Dish TV has not responded to any of the related queries from CNBC TV 18.
Reports are just coming in, and in a few days situation might be clearer.
