The news seems to be quite genuine. The statement by Dish TV further fuels the possibility. Instead of denying the reports of acquisition, Dish TV has stated that it would not comment on speculative rumours. That in itself should be an indication of a likely talk between the companies.

If it really happens, it could be quite good enough for dish. As for me, I had moved away from dish tv in 2010 after using it for 3 years since 2007. Maybe I will need to think of moving to TS

They recently sold their telecom licenses. Now its turn for DTH license too. They will keep selling TV and refrigerator forever
