MUMBAI: Ditto TV, Zee New Media’s over-the-top (OTT) television distribution platform, has strengthened its content bouquet by adding National Geographic Channel (NGC) India’s three HD channels—Nat Geo Wild, Nat Geo People and Baby TV.
Nat Geo Wild and Nat Geo People will showcase a range of wildlife, adventure shows, as well as celebrate the culture and lifestyle of people from across the globe, while Baby TV will offer exciting content for toddlers and their parents.
Ditto TV business head Manoj Padmanabhan said, “Our partnership with Nat Geo will give consumers access to high-quality, exciting and entertaining content in HD.
This is the first time HD channels streaming is made available on an OTT platform. We hope to continue our efforts to provide the maximum value and a seamless viewing experience to our consumers.”
National Geographic and Fox International Channels SVP of distribution Farhan Hoda said, “The immense penetration of the internet and the growing number of internet-enabled mobile devices are stimulating demand, and we believe this will transform into a very significant viewing platform in time.
This partnership will enable us to showcase top quality content to our avid viewer base in India and the SAARC markets.”
Since its inception in February 2012, Ditto TV has partnered IndiaCast, Multi Screen Media (MSM), Times Television Network, TV Today Network, BBC, Turner India, Bikini TV and ZEEL.
It hosts 105 channels across leading genres and rich on-demand video content globally. Ditto TV claims to have a user base of four million.
