You wont get DD audio from Aux. Only HDMI and Optical cable can transmit digital audio (DD and DD+ and DTS )

Can u post the pic of the back of ur HEVC STB so we can see what the optical port looks like ???

Need Help

I want to connect HEVC Settop box with LG 3D Blu-ray Home-theater( to get 5.1 Dolby Audio.

Home-theater has HDMI and Optical In port, And AUX In port As well.

My LG TV also Has Optical as well as Two HDMI Port.

How to use optical cable or how to insert optical cable in ADTV HEVC Settop box ? (Port Looks different than regular optical port. Is optical port Cap/Cover protected?

Is't ok if I use AUX port of TV to get 5.1 Dolby Audio in Home-theater?

Tv Audio Setting- on which mode I have to put my TV Audio setting (PCM/ Optical Digital Audio) ARC option not available in TV.

Suggest better option for me.

You have to use hdmi cable via ARC to get 5.1 since optical output from LG tv won't give 5.1

SETTOP BOX has SPDIF Optical port(No any Coaxial option available , so I purchased Toslink Fiber Glass optical cable (3 Meter- Standard)

I purchased LED TV last year so there is no Inbuilt ARC Port/Facility/System provided in that one. Optical Digital Audio Out port option is available.

LG Smart TV has ARC options . All demo on You tube are related to Smart TV.

In Audio Setting of TV Digital optical sound option available.

Can I get 5.1 Audio if I connect SETTOP box output to Hometheater through Optical Cable ? (In the demo of TATA Sky HD Settop box on You Tube the person connected his settop box to hometheater of Panasonic through Opticable cable to get 5.1 Audio)
