You are wrong.Penetration of dth is more in rural area because of lack of cable operators.
But yes thet ave no idea about hd services.

U cant say that in rural areas everyone knows about DTH.

I don't get why DD cannot turn their existing terrestrial stations into DVB-T digital transmission modes. They can launch commercial services on that platform.

And/Or tie up with existing cable operators like Hathway or even TS/d2h/Dish.

U cant say that in rural areas everyone knows about DTH.

In India we are tribals also along with rural. Rural areas have DTH knowledge and most of them are getting the knowledge day by day but for tribals, even cable is a thing of different world. All they know is Yagi Antenna and few doordarshan channels.

I once heard that were in process of converting Terrestrial Analog transmission to Digital transmission but now with this new update looks like terrestrial broadcast will come to an end.
