U cant say that in rural areas everyone knows about DTH.You are wrong.Penetration of dth is more in rural area because of lack of cable operators.
But yes thet ave no idea about hd services.

I don't get why DD cannot turn their existing terrestrial stations into DVB-T digital transmission modes. They can launch commercial services on that platform.
And/Or tie up with existing cable operators like Hathway or even TS/d2h/Dish.
