Actually vishwaroopam screening has been postponed. It's not releasing on 10th Jan.

The ongoing disagreement between Kamal Haasan and Tamil Nadu Theatre Owners Association (TNTOA) looks to have headed towards a dramatic yet positive conclusion. It is believed Kamal Haasan and the chief members of TNTOA had assembled for a meeting last night and their first round of discussion seemed to hint towards a favorable outcome.

A second and third round of discussions were held earlier today and inside sources suggest that TNTOA and Kamal have come to a mutual understanding that is beneficial for all the parties involved. On amicable terms Kamal has agreed to postpone Vishwaroopam to January 25 with a strong theatre release across TN.

The details about the scheduled DTH telecast is still unclear at the moment. A joint press meet is expected to take place sometime today to elaborate on the discussions and the terms of agreement and also throw light on the DTH screening.

Saimira had slapped a case against the release of viswaroopam until kamal settles rs.10 crores which was quashed by HC today.

The sudden postponement of Vishwaroopam to 25th January, is forcing other film makers who had planned to release their films around that time to push their films. Among the victims are Mani Ratnam and Ameer. Kadal, which was earlier planned for a February 1st release, might get pushed for a later date.
Similarly, Ameer who has been making his film for a long time will have to postpone the date of release of Aadhi Bhagavan from January 25th to a later date. The speculation is that both Kadal and Aadhi Bhagavan will hit the screens during the fag end of February, probably along with Paradesi.
