Sony Entertainment Television is trying out new things to gain the viewers back and once again rank in list of top 3 channels on BARC chart. The channel even launched some shows to cover the 7PM slot and 8PM. Although, none of them managed to maintain the ratings.
Sony TV launched the thriller show Beyhadhand it was too not able to maintain the popularity. Although, Kuch Rang Puar Ke Aise Bhi is still performing good on the channel. Now Sony TV is planning to launch yet another new show which will be made on a grand scale.
The release date is still not available but it might replace an existing show, it could be Beyhadh or it might take a new time slot. Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi is rumoured to not go off-air till December but things could change.
Sony TV’s upcoming show ‘Ek Deewana Tha’ will star Namil Paul and Vikram Singh Chauhan. Namik was last seen in Sony TV’s Ek Duje Ke Vaaste and Vikram is part of Jaana Na Dil Se Door which airs daily on Star Plus, however it will go off-air later this month.
Ek Deewana Tha is a romantic thriller and it will be produced by Prateek Sharma. He is producing a show for the first time but he has good relations with Sony TV. It seems Kavya Ki Prathna and Ek Deewana Tha are two different show but the former has been scrapped.
