We will provided you USB recording shortly. As of now we cannot commit a date but we are working on adding this functionality.

Yeah, it's coming shortly. New software will be circulated by end of this month for all HD STB and after its completion USB PVR facilities will be provided to Standard definition customers too.

Also, This Service won't be FREE. There will be a charge to avail this service. A small kit containing Pen Drive, remote, battery and manual will be sold out separately for all those who wish to avail this service.

Tata sky is also lag behind in USB recording too even they are not providing USB port in normal STB.
