Epic, which is India's first segmented entertainment channel, is set to showcase Indian history and mythology in a modern, contemporary manner through its fiction shows, narrative non-fiction shows, short form content as well as films.Filmmaker Anurag Basu, who started his career with television, is set to recreate the magic of Rabindranath Tagore's stories in a new series titled The Stories Of Tagore By Anurag Basu.The channel goes on air with its four shows — Siyaasat, Dharmakshetra, Dariba Diaries and Daanav Hunters. There is also an interesting mix of non-fiction shows that include Adrishya (a show about Indian spies), Ekaant (the story of abandoned places), Raja Rasoi Aur Anya Kahaniyaan, which takes viewers on a journey of the food that the royals ate, and Kahi Suni that explores the myths and legends of India.
