They are doing all these thing only disapper the name ESPN from people as they are acquinted with it.

Did you notice the live telecast of any events except EPL are on star sports ,star cricket.If coincides it is on ESPN

Earlier,star sports was to telecast australian open,espn to ind-eng in hindi.
First match was also seen on espn for few overs.After they changed to aus-eng for espn,hindi feed to star sports.
They changed the australia open to espn only when india match was there.

after star bought India home matches ,star india group person said "if it is required we have to plan another one new channel for cover all India based sports content".so we can expect a new channel from star group.

Even International Football matches timings are going to be changed because of increasing viewers from India and other Asian countries. Both ESPN and FOX are strong brands.

Changing name would be part of creating a unified International brand value.

no brother star india owned by news corparation espn from fox international.news corparation bought 40 persent stack from fox international.that is the relation between star and espn.

you are wrong buddy..... ESPN is owned by walt disny not by fox international and fox international is a part of news corporation..... ESPNSTAR was a joint venture between ESPN Inc (Jointly owned by The Walt Disney Company and Hearst Corporation) and News corporation. In which now the stake of ESPN inc was fully bought by news corporation... thats why they are renaming ESPN as fox sports

If they rebrand starcricket & starcrickethd to all sports channel but 1st preference should be cricket,then half of the problem will be solved.

It is good if they launch a specific channel for india cricket & hockey.Because they are showing india cricket nplace of other important matches.They are n't showing australia open due to ranji match on hd and kfc ,hil on sd
