News Excise duty hikes on fuel erode benefit of price cuts

I think you are not getting what we are saying its not about BJP or Congress its about govt who is running the country and we all don't have any personal problem with BJP if Congress would have done that then too I would have said the same thing

Crude is at 45 a barrel now and may fall to 40 in near term.But in medium term it is expected to be around 60 and in long term around 70.The govt. has created a cushion for itself so when the price of crude rises they can simply cut the excise duty and keep the prices down.Also this will help the govt. raise finance in near term and belp contain fiscal deficit.Ek teer se do nishane.Nice financial craft shown by Modi govt.

Only corporates are benefitting by this cut and if we think that we are saving cost on bike fuel then how much ? 5 rs per day but corporates getting double benefit

Agree bro......there has to be some mechanism by which Air, rail.....fares come down after crude oil prices.......otherwise there is no benefit to common man.

Hope this comes true.....because it seems after few months oil prices are again bound to rise....may to recover lost glare.....But still this cann't be fully justified....until common man benefits.....

whenever there is a hike the transportation companies also do the same but they never revert atleast a rupee after the decrease. The railway is in huge losses and no way of reducing the ticket prices.
