ARPU While Dish TV’s average revenue per user (ARPU) from the first quarter remained flat sequentially at Rs 170, the CEO said that FY15 ARPU will see 6–7 per cent increase over the previous fiscal. Starting June this year, the company had hiked the prices of its middle- and top-level packs by 5–7 per cent. Starting 1 August, it will increase the subscription fee by 5-6 per cent across the board, including the price of its base pack. “We will increase the base pack price to bring it at industry standard of Rs 230 from 1 August. We will also increase price across packs,” Venkateish said.

Removing channels from base packs and increasing package price. Nice initiative by dishtv.

I think this is the reason behind Travel XP HD free preview for all HD subscribers. Last time when they have revised the price they have added all Zee HD channels in the base packs. So hopes that this time they will add Indiacast HD channels, Romedy NOW+ & Travel XP HD in HD packs.

I think they already giving Romedy NOW + in the base pack under Promotional Offer :p
Nope. It's only for the customers with lowest HD packs moving to HD royale Packs. This message is showing in the EPG adv also. I'm in South HD Royale packs and not getting it.

Tats a reason I said Promotional :p but yes chances are high with Romedy Now + and Travel XP HD in the base pack with Indiacast channels we needs to wait more as all these channels having a agreement under RIO terms only.

but without SS addition and indiacast channels on base packs, the hike is not justified.
Dish TV is in the process of concluding its content deals with Star and Zee channels, which are ending on 31 July. The IndiaCast channels are on RIO basis. “We are in advanced talks with both Star and Zee for distribution of the channels,” he said.
