since when service tax started on petrol and diesel. or is it from card companies ?

Debit/credit cards won't be accepted at petrol bunks from tonight in TN petrol bunks due to service taxes being levied.

It's not service tax, banks are levying upto 1% as transaction tax for both debit/credit card per mandate from RBI & it's impacting the profit of petroleum dealers hence they have unanimously decided to stop accepting cards from midnight.
