EPFO members will soon get portable account number
The UAN will link all employments of the EPF members, thus facilitating portability. Those working in the organized sector do not need to apply for transfer of PF account claim when they change jobs.
Initially, the UAN will be provided to members currently contributing to the EPFO by October 15. The allotment of UAN would link all employments of the EPF members thus facilitating portability.

What's advantage of UAN?
you will have single unique PF Account number till you retire. No need of transferring when you change the job
