You can buy a router if you have broadband.
It's better and will always be on for use.
Get one from NetGear

Virtual router is not useful as it only connect and nothing happens after that

If you have a WiFi router or WiFi dongle it is easy to enable wifi in smartphone.
Or
Use WiFi hotspot
Or
USB tathering
Or
Bluetooth sharing.
