News Girl eats fire cracker mistaking it for chocolate, dies

A five-year-old girl died after "eating" a fire cracker mistaking it for a
chocolate in her village in the district on Wednesday, police said.

The incident took place when Damini Nikam was playing outside her house in Tisangi village in Khed tehsil when she spotted some fire crackers lying there and consumed one of them mistaking it for a chocolate, an official attached with Khed police station said.

On seeing this, her mother rushed her to a nearby primary health care centre where she died while undergoing treatment, he said.

It would be too late for them to realise that they eat something wrong, Parents should be very careful with toddler if its their second child then older one should be more responsible with the toddler.

Really strange case. Heard about other foreign particles been ingested by toddlers but first time heard that cracker has been eaten

Toddlers even catch the worm and take into the mouth bro, crackers isn't big deal. I have seen many poor kids doing this roadside and their mothers snatching it from them.
