Whereas Modiji later did say In one of his speeches to use online transfers and Paytm which definitely gave a boost to these companies. But why are the banks not promoting their Mobile apps or E-wallets. Every customer is forced to use Paytm as the vendors are aware of only paytm and the banks are not allocating their banks card swipe machine.
It is not the publicity of Modiji but grabbing attention and eventually business in the name of PM or any other national figures.

So without offers, paytm getting popularity

But offers needed
These paytm and others are not spending their money for advert whereas banks have to spend the money out of profit.
