Yes, Its a ticker Service. Although I haven't experienced the New Software but it should be there in ticker services.

They removed the weather option from new software because i have checked and dont find it in Tickers section.

Even the one available in Old Firmware is useless and updates so slow. I would better prefer to know the weather report on my Blackberry app.
