The Haryana Human Rights Commission has hauled up the Haryana government over farmer suicides due to crop damage. The panel has served a notice after three farmers committed suicide.
This comes a day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced increasing the compensation to farmers whose crops have been damaged.
He had said that farmers who have 33 per cent damage to crops will get aid from the Centre. Earlier the limit was 50 per cent damage.
