Essel Group chairman Subhash Chandra’s cricketing plot to take on the International Cricket Council (ICC) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is slowly getting unravelled. According to Australian daily Sydney Morning Herald (SMH), the Indian media mogul has plans to sign World Cup-winning Australian captain Michael Clarke and David Warner in 10-year contracts worth $50 million for his parallel cricket structure. While the exact contours of Chandra’s plans are not known, the SMH report states that the Indian billionaire, who had earlier made an unsuccessful attempt at cricket with the now defunct Indian Cricket League (ICL), is planning a global, franchise-based T20 tournament that will encompass existing cricket markets as well as new markets like the USA and China.

If Subhash Chandra is planning to expand his cricket league in USA, then definately Caribbean players will also gonna join them. It would be great for Zee USA.

Don't know how BCCI / ICC will allow this to happen without their consent....Most likely he would lose his money & also cricket rights....

"According to a London Telegraph report, the group has registered a domain under the name GlobalT20.com in April, which is among 249 domains registered around the world that could be tied to a new governing body. According to Guardian, the group has also registered WorldCricketCouncil.co.in domain name."

So it seems to be big thing thats taking place.....Chandra might want to take help from GOI for this.....
Any way BCCI already boasts that they are not Indian cricket board......So good if Govt supports this initiative & break the back of BCCI.....
