HELP Has VD2H stopped 1080P on normal HD stb??

Hi all,

I am using a sony LED tv,after upgrading the STB to 555,it is providing 1080I rather than 1080P..
What is the reason behind this??? because previously I was getting 1080P from my old VD2H settopbox.
Yesterday my friend brought a new LED tv with 2244STB and he is also facing the same problem.
He is getting 1080I instead of 1080P.
We have crosschecked each and every configuration of TV and STB.In the STB there is no option of 1080P.what may be the reason??? is it because ppl will go for 4k HD STB ????

None of the broadcaster providing 1080p in India and all HD channels we are getting in 1080i only.Only bluray player can give 1080p with bluray discs.So dont worry..enjoy with 1080i with HD STBs.

They claim that their box is 1080p compatible but there is no 1080p channel in India to check this .
